RS PRO White Polyethylene PE Rod, 1 m x 50 mm Diameter
This polyethylene (PE) rod from RS PRO is a versatile choice in the manufacturing industry. It's used in a variety of applications from packaging systems to food processing equipment. The material is easy to fabricate and can be welded using a hot air tool, injectiweld or extruder, ensuring low production overheads.
PE is resistant to dilute acids, cleaning agents and numerous solvents, so it's useful for making household components and chemical apparatus. It's tough yet lightweight, ensuring a long service life for your components. Thanks to good sliding properties, it's also used to make wear strips and conveyor components.
This unit has an Underwriters' Laboratory (UL 94-HB) fire-safety rating, which means it won't burn at a rate of more than 75 mm per minute. It's resistant to scratches and abrasion, so you can be confident your products won't be damaged even with extended use.
