RS PRO Natural Nylon Rod, 500mm x 100mm Diameter

Designed for long-lasting operation in harsh conditions, this cast nylon rod from our RS PRO series is a tough component for use in heavy-duty environments.

Cast nylon offers many advantages over comparable materials. It has a considerably lower stress level than its extruded counterparts. In fact, this rod is free of all internal stresses for better dimensional stability, easier machining and higher tensile and impact strength. These benefits are reflected in the rod’s M 90 Rockwell hardness rating and tensile strength of 85 MPa. It also has exceptional resistance to abrasion, chemicals, acids and alkalis. With a maximum operating temperature of +180°C and a UL 94 H-B flammability rating, it can handle high heat and is self-extinguishing.

This product conforms to the DIN 50 014 classification for resistance to corrosion in standard climates. It’s well-suited for all bearing, brush and gear applications.
