RS PRO Transparent Polycarbonate PC Rod, 1m x 40mm Diameter

A high quality and virtually unbreakable Polycarbonate rod measuring 1m in length and 40 mm in diameter with a tensile strength of 60 MPa.
The Polycarbonate rod has excellent mechanical strength with high impact resistance, is resistant fire and has a very low water absorption rate.
Polycarbonate is electrically insulating and is safe for use at temperatures up to +140°C with a good level of hear deformation resistance.
Readily machinable and easy to polish the transparent PC rod is easy to bond, easy to weld and suitable for use in a wide range of environments including automotive, mechanical engineering, food industries and medical technology.
Common applications include including machine guards, protective screens, signage, displays, insulators, plug strips and optical components.
