RS PRO Red Crimp Splice
Use these butt connectors, also known as crimp splices, from the RS PRO range to quickly and securely connect two wires when building a circuit. The crimp splices are covered with dual wall heat shrinkable tubing and hot melt inner liner, so you can crimp then heat shrink them onto wires to make a watertight connection.
They're colour-coded red for easy identification to use with wire sizes of 0.5-1.5 mm² (22-16 AWG). Once the wires are spliced, the connection offers good physical and electrical properties and excellent strain relief, making them durable. Heat shrinking creates a see-through casing that allows quick visual inspection.
As part of the RS PRO range, these connectors are reliable. In addition, they meet ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007 Electrostatic Control Standards. They're RoHS compliant on hazardous substances. Crimp butt splice terminals are commonly used to change, lengthen or repair conductors in an electrical circuit.
