When your electric motor draws excess power, this 3-pole thermal overload relay from ABB is on hand to take the heat. Once fitted, the unit automatically disconnects the power when the current exceeds 4.2A, preventing damage to the wiring, motor and any connected components. You can adjust the setting between 3.1 and 4.2A, so it has a high degree of compatibility with other motors. In the event of an emergency, you can use the relay's built-in stop function to shut things down speedily.
