RECOM DC-DC Converter, Fully Encapsulated, 220μF Max Capacitive Load - RO Series - RO-2424S

Isolate power in your circuit board with this DC-DC converter from RECOM. As it can handle one second of 1000V DC power and one minute of 500V AC power at 60Hz before overloading, you can use it to prevent damage to your system. Further protecting your circuit is its black plastic casing that's non-conductive to minimise energy leaks. Thanks to the through-hole mounting, you can quickly install it by inserting the pins into the drilled holes on a PCB and then soldering them to the pads on the reverse side.

Features & Benefits

• Space-saving dimensions of 11.5 (L) x 6 (W) x 10mm (H) fits neatly in densely arranged circuit boards

• Wide operating temperature between -40°C to +85°C for use in harsh environments

• Input voltage range ±10% accounts for minor power fluctuations from 12V DC batteries

Applications

• Consumer electronics

• Telecommunications industry

• Portable measuring devices

How does a DC-DC converter work?

These units pass power through a converter to turn the input DC voltage into AC power. This signal then passes through a second filter to turn it back to DC at the correct voltage.

Is this converter regulated or unregulated?

This converter is unregulated, which suits Compact circuit systems that can handle minor fluctuations in power.
