Hammond 1590 Watertight Diecast Aluminium Enclosures

The Hammond 1590 series is a rugged diecast aluminium alloy enclosure suitable for electronic instruments which is tough, yet easy to machine. It has a lap joint construction with a self adhesive silicone gasket around the lid perimeter which provides IP65 protection against dust and water and also provides improved EMI/RFI shielding.

Features and Benefits:

• Rugged, diecast aluminium alloy 384 (tough yet easy to machine), electronic instrument enclosure

• Lap joint construction with a silicone rubber gasket which fits around the perimeter of the lid provides protection against dust and water

• Silicone rubber gasket remains flexible from -62 to +232 °C (-80 to +450 °F)

• Vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges

• Four (or 6 in 1590D, 1590DD, 8 in 1590F) 6-32 x 1/2 in. stainless steel machine screws secure lid into factory tapped holes

• Screws use neoprene 'O' rings (included)

• Designed to meet IP65

Replacement Lid screws 6-32 UNC x ½" clear with o-ring.
Dimensions do not include the lid and exclude flanges (add 4mm to height for the lid)
