Makita BL1840B 18V Li-ion battery suitable for all Makita Li-Ion LXT machines. This battery is lightweight and shock absorbing and is 40% lighter than Ni-MH.

Lithium-ion batteries have longer life spans than Ni-MH or Ni-Cad which is due to the increased number of charging cycles Lithium-ion offers and the run time between charges.
