StarTech Fibre Optic Cable, 4m Cable Length, Aqua Jacket - 450FBLCLC4PP

This Fibre optic cable is a 4m multimode OM4 patch lead designed for high-density data environments. It provides duplex LC/UPC terminations with push-pull tabs for straightforward insertion and removal and is housed in a Low Smoke Zero Halogen jacket suitable for enclosed spaces. The cable supports short-range multimode links using 850nm and 1300nm sources and is tested to meet TIA/EIA-568 standards for insertion loss performance.

Features and Benefits:

• 100Gbps support enables high-throughput network connections
• 50/125μm core reduces modal dispersion for VCSEL sources
• Bend-insensitive Fibre maintains low attenuation in tight bends
• Retractable housings permit toolless polarity swapping in the field
• LSZH jacket reduces toxic emissions in confined environments

Applications

• Suitable for 40/100 Gigabit Ethernet switch interconnects
• Ideal for SAN links using SFP+/QSFP+ modules
• Used with server-to-switch high-density patching panels
• Can be used in transport and industrial enclosures
• Suitable for upgrading OM3 infrastructure to OM4 performance

What temperatures can the cable tolerate during operation?

It operates between -20°C and 60°C.

How does the connector design aid high-density installations?

Push-pull tabs provide quick access for precise insertion and removal in crowded panels.

What testing ensures signal integrity for each unit?

Each cable is individually tested for insertion loss to meet TIA/EIA-568 performance.

Which light sources and wavelengths does this cable support?

It is optimised for 850nm and 1300nm LED/VCSEL sources.

How does the cable handle polarity changes on-site?

Retractable strain-relief housings enable toolless polarity swapping without replacing the connector.
