RS PRO DOL Starter, DOL, 400V ac, 5.5 kW, 3 Phase, IP65

This starter has a moulded plastic case that's IP65 rated, giving it protection against dust and high-pressure water jets from any direction. It's useful to fit motor starters with an overload protection device to prevent short circuits or overheating issues. This model doesn't include one, so you would need to select one from the RF38 series – for example, stock no. 685-130 – to match the full-load current of your motor.

You'll find this DOL starter in motor-driven applications, such as workshop machinery, large fans and water pumps. It also conforms to standards IEC 60947 (low-voltage equipment safety), IEC 60947-4-1 (protection from short-circuits) and is RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant.
