The 316 L stainless steel tubing is made from austenitic steel, which is highly resistant to corrosion. Austenitic steel contains molybdenum, an element known for its corrosion resistance and weldability. This makes it great for use in applications that are exposed to the effects of saltwater or rain, including boat-building and gardening. The metal tube's low-carbon composition also offers resistance to weld decay.
